    DP-C266

I have a DP-266 out in the field that is having print quality issues. The prints start out fine, but after about 20 sheets the colors start turning purple, then after another 20 or so they start turning yellow. I don't know why the color isn't staying consistent across the copies. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Try running F1-20, F1-21, F1-22, F1-23. This prints a pattern for each color. If a problem is isolated to one, you will see it. Also, run a F7-00. This shows how many counts on everything. If you can attach the F7 in your reply, that would be very helpful. This will give me more info to see just where everything is. Do you replace/PM the machine when it calls for it? Or do you reset them and run to failure?

I ran the F1-20 through F1-23. They all came out fine except the F1-20 (yellow) came out completely blank. Just a white sheet of paper. I have also attached the F7-00 for you. I am still new to this company but I am pretty sure all the PMs have been done on this machine, not just reset and run to failure.

Looks like this machine has past the 120K PM, which is actually not needed. We do our PMs at 240K with no problems. If yellow is blank, that would need to be corrected. Treat it as any other copier when troubleshooting blank copies. Try a manual color registration adjustment (F8-30). Check laser unit operation for yellow, dev and drum unit for yellow. Looks like someone has recently replaced the yellow drum and toner.

Just replaced the yellow dev unit and everything is working fine now. Thanks!
