    [Error Code] SC-681 01

    I have a ricoh mp-c2500 that is giving me a sc-681 01 code. I have replaced the RFID pwb, controller pwb, the BICU, the toner pump, the DV unit, and 3 new toners. Befor I got the code it would not register that there was any yellow toner in it, then came up with this sc-681 code. I'm going crazy. Any help would be awesome. Please help

      SC 681 RFID Communication error should have a sub code ( Normally a 3 digit number ) can you clarify that you are only getting SC681 01 ? ?

      Back in 2011 Ricoh revised the manual to interpret these codes correctly.

      If its 001 I would think you need to check/replace the harness connections between the RFID , IOB , BICU

          The only cable I see is the white flat cable that goes from the I\O to the BICU. Would that be the one your talking about?

              The parts manual refers to 2 -- Harness IOB to BICU and Harness IOB to toner supply

              When you replaced the RFID did you attach the RFID Ground Plate ? Possible electrical noise problems

                  Yes, I made sure it was secure each of the 6 times I have taken it apart and back together again.

                          here is the solutions from the Service Manual

                          1. Check the connection of the harness that runs between
                          the RFID controller board and BCU board.
                          2. Check the connection of the GND line for the ITB unit.
                          3. Check the physical condition of this harness and replace
                          it if it is damaged.
                          4. Replace the RFID controller board.
                          5. Replace the BCU board
