Lanier LD015 error sc322

I must be missing something. I was trying to get this machine ready for resale. The prints were washed out. I traced it back to the printhead. Removed it, cleaned the toner out of it and when reinstalled, error sc322. I got another printhead, installed it and same code. Although the odds were against it, I swapped it with another one, and same code. So now it's not the printhead. I swapped the control board. Same error. What can I be missing?

make sure toner bottle is installed correctly

reinstall toner bottle LD shutter blocks laser till toner is installed

replace laser assy.

Do you have a toner bottle installed?

Thanks for the replies, the toner bottle is instaled, that's why I got focused on the laser. I will retrace my steps. I forgot about the funny things this machine will do when toner bottle is missing. I will admit to not checking the manual, mainly because while I was doing this, my laptop was in pieces at one of the IT guys desk. I had dropped it and he was trying to repair my broken fan so I just Googled the code.

Problem solved. I feel stupid. The toner was in the whole time. That was the problem. I had to slide the tray out and back in for it to work. About 2 minutes later, another tech walks up and gives me the same advice.
