I have a client who has acquired a Ricoh MPC2500 from a printer/copier company in town. I am wanting to setup SMB access to a Dropbox folder on a Mac for scanned files. After messing with it a while, I gave up and some reading on the internet. It appears that Ricoh has had some problems ever since Apple rewrote their implementation of SMB on the later operating systems.
I read many people saying there are sometimes firmware upgrades that can fix this issue, but depends on the model. Does anyone know if there is a new firmware upgrade for this printer makes SMB over newer Macs work again?
