My guess would be to first read the bulletin. If it is the same as the noise problem from the friction pads on the MP C2050/C2550 there will be a new part number for a modified friction pad.

Slimslob, wright, but it happens also with the modified... So?
I used to air blow between the friction path and the paper feed roller, it helps immediately, for i while...
Any better idea would be nice...

A customer ran multiple colours of paper through an MP161. The orange made the machine screech like a kitten on crack. Try as Codex said, failing that replace the tyre and pad.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

Try a lighter spring on your Friction Pad, but don't destroy the old one in case you have to reinstall it. I have done this with success on a MP 161 - sorry. no part number for the spring; just had something that worked without causing multifeeds.

Sometimes the feed tire bar gets bent if you rotate the feed tire you will feel when it gets tighter just lightly try to straighten the bar out I have had good luck with this it also works when you are having a jamming problem out of the paper tray.

I also put a little bit of the white grease on the sides of the sep pad where it goes up and down in the little slots to help with the noise.
