Printing is ok with an old Brother color printer in a Mac environement OR when the Ricoh mpc2800 is put on a Windows platform in that network.
When we power up the Ricoh machine, the first minutes printing is ok in that Mac platform, because the postscript card is installed.
But after a few minutes a Mac pc (1 of the 4) says: "printer is not connected", and it is not able to print anymore.
So, we need to repower the Ricoh OR re-install it on the MAc, in order to make it print again (for a few minutes).
- Energy saver is set more than 10 minutes.
- When it is of the network, i can ping the DNS server and gateway from the machine.
- It is the same problem with a mpc2051.
- The postscript cards are not licensed to these machines, they belong originaly to other machines (but also mpc2800 of mpc2051)
- With a older version of Apple (on a notebook) the problem is the same.
- firmware update done for the postscript.
- We already swaped postscript cards with no problem, but could it be that is causing the problem?
Thank you for helping us!
