[Jamming] Finisher SR850 (machine code B469) connected to Nashuatec Dsm 660

    Greetings everyone,
I have replaced the positioning roller & the positioning roller drive belt.
The first set of papers are stapled but remain in the "jogger unit" for every "staples" printing.
The set of stapled papers does not reach the exit section, causing a jam.
Normal printing without staples is OK and the duplex unit is OK.
SMC Report (paper jam location): the value for the Finisher 105 (exit sensor after jogging) is very high!
    Please advise, thanks.

    Hi there!
Check if both exit belt pawl (B4684144) & both jogger guide (B4684328) are in the correct position. The "micro-screws" of the exit belt pawl often gets loose.
    Greetings...

      Hi

There is a black belt in the middle of the jogger unit. Along this belt is a silver metal lever that is attached to the belt. Once the stapler has fired the belt cycles and pushes the stapled set out of the jogger area.

Does your finisher have this bracket on the belt?

And make sure there is a mylar attached to the bottom of the metal hook(lever). If not the paper will be shoved underneath the hook and misfeeds/off-stapling will occur. There is also a photointerrupter on the back of the staple tray the hook hits for timing/position. Make sure it is still in it's mounts.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I will be onsite tomorrow to check both exit belt & jogger guide.

              Hi,
How to calibrate the belt pawl and how to check the exit sensor(G020 4429)?
              Thanks.

                Hi

If all is in place, no calibration is necessary as it is done as part of the power on self test. As said, check that everything is in place including the sensor/switch on the back of the jogger assembly that the belt runs past.

There is a tension plate also on the back of the jogger assembly that keeps the belt tensioned. You should be able to cycle the belt by hand without it getting stuck anywhere along its path.

                    Finisher SR850: Jamming - solved!
After several tests, I've noticed for one staple copy job (only one set) sometime the stapled papers went out, but the next new copy job the set was jammed! I've checked the jogger unit: jogger guide OK, but when I looked to the exit belt, I noticed that one of the metal hooks (Exit Belt Pawl) on the belt was folded and could not activate the exit sensor and causing the stack feed out motor off. I've repaired the hook and now the finisher is working properly.
Thank you for all your advice, much appreciated.
