    Ricoh MP C3501 018 Jam

I am having a jamming issue with a Ricoh MP C3501, it jams right before the fuser every time, the paper just hits it at the base and jams. At first it was sporadic, but by the end of the day it was every time. The feed kits for the paper trays (1 and 2) are new, the registration roller has even pressure and is clean, I have made sure all photo sensors are clean. I have run the paper from either tray (1 and 2) 8 x11" and 8 x 11"R;also, I have tried adjusting the fuser guide but to no avail, it still jams. I checked the the jam history in sp-7-507-001 and it says code 018. I'm not sure where to go from this point. I'm thinking a new fuser, possibly. Could it be a photo sensor? I seen a past post on an MP C2500 with a similar issue however there was no follow up with a resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

One other question if the fuser is the issue, is the only fuser I can use is D0874026, or is there a more cost effective option, either rebuild, or a modification ( wire swap) like the MP C3500 fuser?

J018 is a fusing entrance sensor jam. Lead edge of the sensor has not been detected by the sensor. Sensor is located at the top of the paper transfer unit, just above the Paper Transfer Roller.

Thank you, Slimslob, it turned out the sensor was loose, a prior tech had used a metal screw instead a plastic screw to hold the sensor in place so I replaced the screw and all is well.
