Gents and Ladies
Had an interesting one yesterday.
We were building a new config for a customer and it included the internal finisher for the MPC2003sp. (All items new)
Installed it as per the install instructions and on first start it cried for staples? Removed the cassette and low and behold there were staples??!
The machine registered when the unit was opened (with a cover open warning though..)
Then the fun started! Tried to print - BAM! Misfeed as the paper leaves the fusing exit where it should enter the finisher....
Had a look and discovered that the finisher does not start feeding as the paper leaves the fusing exit.
Did a cold start and found that the machine does not cycle the finisher as part of the startup and that staple does not show up as an option on the copier ...... Hmmmm.
Downloaded the latest firmware, flashed the machine and did a cold start.... TADAA!! Everything works! Even the add staples warning left!
What next??!
