    4001SP - Possible power issue

I have a 4001 that is down and exhibiting some strange issues. It had an engine startup SC code so I swapped the engine board and now the machine will not even power on. All harnesses are correctly and firmly in place. I believe this machine has suffered some sort of electrical damage on reflection. The outlet that it is plugged into is scorched. I have the PSU on order but I was wondering what anyone else thought on the matter.

by engine board do you mean the bicu? if so did you remember to swap the little eprom chip. if you didn't that may explain your issue.

I believe the original SC code was 630. The manual described a late engine response or no engine response on startup.

The PSU was the issue. The customer admitted to plugging the machine into a known faulty outlet. I metered the outlet and it's nowhere near stable. Some fuses were likely blown on the board, but the old board looked like it had some track damage. I didn't want to fuss with it and they're paying for it anyway.

Aaaand dear customer, here is a very large bill
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.
