    Preset Stamps on MPC4500

    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to activate Preset Stamps (confidential, copy etc) on a MPC4500? I thought this feature would be available to use by default however it is currently "greyed" out on my stamp section. Page number and Date Stamp are all ok. I can program user stamps and use them without issue.

I've looked on a MPC2500 as well and it is greyed out as well.

any help would be great. thanks.

    Regards,
    Steve

Excute SP5853, exit, then cycle the power off/on.

That will transfer the stamp data on to harddrive so the function will not be greyed out after that.

        Re: Preset Stamps on MPC4500

EDIT: Ok, I think it's best everyone ignore this post and try and keep laughing at me to a minimum.

It's the first option when I go into preset stamp data within copier/doc. server features.
        I completely Overlooked it.

(Raising this old thread instead of starting a new one.
The preset stamp data i downloaded for my MP 4001 is entirely in Dutch. I have reset system settings and the control panel and everything else is in english.
I used this thread to find out about downloading stamp data but when I did it's in the secondary language and not the primary (unless there is another SP setting to change primary language) Can anyone help me with this??? thanks' in advances)

The user manual would suggest you can switch between the different languages loaded on the machine for the preset stamps.

          Copier / Document Server Features

          Preset Stamp
This section describes the user tools in the Preset Stamp menu under Stamp.

          Stamp Language
You can select the language of the message printed in Stamp mode.
          The default setting is English.

believe it or not, although easy to download, I don't think I've used a usermanual in my life.

I have this problem with our Lanier where the hard drive was replaced.
              What does Execute SP853 mean.
Stop being so damn cryptic with your knowledge hording.

That comment was totally uncalled for. This is a forum for techs. A trained tech would understand the instructions given. If you don"t understand then you are either an end user or an untrained tech. I would suggest that you contact the company that changed the HDD and have them fix the issue. Also people that want help on this forum should be polite !!!

CLEARLY you aren't a TRAINED tech.....

HOW FUCKING DARE YOU come into the forum and make the statement

" Stop being so damn cryptic with your knowledge hording "

MOST here are TRAINED techs on the products... and to give info out for your problem, would be like giving a 2 year old a stick of TNT...

find the SM read the damn thing before yu go accusing others of " hoarding "

you could turn the machine into a brick if you don't know what you're doing (and clearly you don't if you don't understand "execute XXXX" )

AND for being a "know nothing" newbie here you have stepped over the line....

what 2 posts total and -= 0 =- rep power?

you need to chill your shit.. your comment has been reported and red flags flown

with your attitude you will not go far in here son.....

Service manual tells me it is SM 5853.

I entered Service mode on the Lanier 4501 by pressing yellow C button, 1 button, 0 button, 7 button, then holding the red button for 5 seconds.
                      Found stamp download unter 5-853.
powered off and on after download.

Worked like a dream. Thank you!

Only six posts, all on this thread and you already have 2 red cards.

Go away grave robber. Did you not notice that this thread was originally from nearly eleven years ago. Also the last post to it was over 5 years ago. We consider anything that old to be dead and buried.

To be clear, YOU don't speak for this community, also, that was an entirely subjective opinion.

Having said that, this community, speaks a certain language that others of the same industry can understand. It's not cryptic, it's logical and objective.
If I say the Organic Photo-Conductor Cleaning Blade Oxidized causing Contamination of the Corona, it wouldn't cryptic, it would be a logical and objective statement of a problem, that OUR community, understands.

Now if you come and say "I'm new to the industry, what does this mean?", we'll be glad to help.
