ricoh 3025 touch screen problem

I have a Ricoh 2025 that had a flaky touch screen, I replaced touch screen and it will not respond at all. I tried the screen adjustment procedure ( 1993, c/s 5 times) when I touch the screen nothing happens. Has anyone experienced this problem? All feedback is appreciated.

You either have not secured the ribbon cable properly, OR damaged the adhesive where it attaches to the screen while you were working on it

Or he put the touch screen in upside down. Have made that mistake before...makes you talk nicely to yourself.
