[Dead] Ricoh mpc2800 firmware failure

Hi All
Does anyone know how to recover a machine from the following issue.
Performing remote engine firmware update and the customers premises had a full power outage. When power returned the machines comes on and just states waiting on firmware update from the machines ip address. I have tried to preform the upgrade with an sd card but to no avail and also tried reset143 stop stop stop but again to no avail. Any solution greatly apprieciated

I have heard that there is an emergency boot SC card for some models that allows you to boot the machine from the SD card in such instances so that you can restart the firmware update.

This is why I try to avoid doing remote firmware updates.

Since it was a client power cut I'd be suggesting an insurance claim......

This is what the manual says (granted it refers to a failed sd card update):

RRecovery after Power Loss

If the ROM update is interrupted as a result of accidental loss of power while the firmware is updating,
then the correct operation of the machine cannot be guaranteed after the machine is switched on again.
If the ROM update does not complete successfully for any reason, then in order to ensure the correct
operation of the machine, the ROM update error will continue to show until the ROM is updated successfully.
In this case, insert the card again and switch on the machine to continue the firmware download
automatically from the card without the menu display.

Does it give an error code? i.e. 32?
