[CQ] Ricoh mp c2011 black print bad quality

    Hello everyone,
I have few MP C2011, each was opened from carton box - so it was qenuine new. From first print page, black color is very bad. I think that is even grey!
Ricoh said that :,, in this model it's normal,, . But my clients aren't happy about this answer. Maybe some of you had this problem? How can I resolve it? Please help me

How did the calibration sheets look like in workshop @ pre-installation? Machine registration & calibration for copy and printer successful? Did you use other paper for testing?

If these were from new, they should be have been completely sealed, and you would have had to unseal them before first setup. The drum units have plastic ribbon seals on them that need removing, if there weren't removed they can interfere with the laser unit.

Also, remove the black drum, and check the rear plate. Make sure it is there, and the copper contacts aren't damaged, if they are then you will get poor conductivity on the drum.

Did you perform an ACC? Or a test with a suitable test chart?

Had a similar issue with a poor k output. Make sure the optics are clean and carry out the calibration.
Ruben beat me to it there's meant to be a black panel at the rear of the drum unit. If it's not there the prints can be very poor/ gray looking.

Yes, there were few seals in drums, I did ACC and black was bad from first print. Even in ACC. 5 copiers, 3 clients have the same problem. Optic is clean I checked this

The troubleshooting guide said for Light image: The bias terminal breaks when the PCDU is removed, so the development bias is too high or too low. The shape of the following parts was changed: Gold plate in the rear of the PCDU which contacts the bias terminal Bias terminal spring on the mainframe.

I would swap the dev unit bk with 3701-003 on one machine how the result is.
            No error message at SP2-111-004?

dont know the mpc2011 but if they are all new wih same problem something has been missed at runup, optics will make no diiference to prints and would be clean if new.

Hi, if you print with PCL driver try to print with XPS. I had something similar with a customer.
