Ricoh 5001 prints only half the page.

We got a Riucoh 5001 for service, client hasnt used this machine for at least 4 months and cant tell us if it was printing like this since then.

attached picture shows the issue, inspected drum and it looks fine, toner bootle is OEM brand new, have force fed toner via service menu and problem persists.

Any ideas welcome.

Check developer unit, I faced this problem last month in Ricoh mp 2510 cleaned laser replaced drum but the problem hadn't gone, but by replacing developer gears , machine worked probably.

Laser slit glass probably. It could also be a bad charge connection. You can clean the contacts for the charge with a file and make sure they are contacting the charge seating area

Looks like a toner bottle got spilled in the toner bottle tray and then toner got spilled down on the laser shield glass. Clean all spilled toner first so that it does not get into the laser unit then clean the laser shield glass. Front end of the shield glass is under a metal cover below the front of the toner bottle tray.

Yesterday finally got the chance to go and check the machine, and yes it was a dirty laser cristal, thanks guys.
