Press roller remeves from it's position and the two rollers doesn't press each other. I put it in right position but after few copies it removes from proper position again. The side that the gap between 2 rollers appear is that at the green lever. The green lever is ok and not broken. Any idea?

Fusing frame broken or pressure roller bearings siezed perhaps? It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Re: af 2022
Someone in an older post had suggested using the type of press roller bearings with the groove around the outer edge that supposed to keep them in place.
innthe past I have had to end up replacing the fuser.Comment

Re: af 2022
If the HOT ROLLER is moving, it is caused by plastic guides in the lower frame - to the inside of the metal brackets that the bearings fit into.
They break - normally the on left side (furthest from the drive gear) and then the hotroller moves in the direction of the drive gear until the bearings slip out of their guides and this movement causes the loss of pressure between the hot roller and pressure roller.
The pressure roller is held in place by metal prongs on the metal risers either side of it. On the one side (normally same side as the hot rolelr drive gear) of the pressure roller is a spring that holds the bearing in place. Is it installed correctly? (see attached photo with red arrow pointing towards the spring).

Yeah I've done that a few times. Not much point spending money on a device that old. Just make sure there's no movement on the rollers when they are all tensioned up.
That's what the newer version of those machines have 2 metal bearing stoppers coming down from the fuser pawl plateComment
