    Ricoh MPC4501 with Finisher SR790

How to set up the copy staples batches? Because upon copying it only staples the first batch and the rest won't staple.
    Thank you.

Copying 5 pages for 10 copies each. The client wants it staples it every batch. So that means It should be stapled ten batches/copies collated. But in this case it only stapled the first 5 pages and the nine (batch of five) won't staples. In the control panel in the screen you see finisher and sort, an then select the staples button and then select batches but it didn't work. It only staples the first copy of 5 not the rest. Thank you for your input.

Still not clear. Does the client want all ten sets stapled together or 10 stapled sets of 5? If the later, there is no need for turning on batch.

Like the Slimster said, you don't need to turn on batch.

I have school districts that do this. Not for one teacher but every teacher at every grade at every school for the entire district. They take the wrapping paper form the reams of paper and cut two inch wide strips to use for bundling the stapled sets for each teacher, then boxes everything for each school. I have one district that uses about one truckload of paper a year.

Thank you slimslob! So does that mean that I will just clicked on sort then staple? then copy 10? I tried but this does not work. Pardon my slowness

tell copier how many sets you want then push staple settings were you want it to staple the sort feature will light also. then place original in doc feeder press start. so if you had 5 originals and wanted 10 sets. will print first set and staple then push it out to exit of finisher and continue. unless they are doing a sample copy then will only do they one and will need to tell it to continue for rest of copies. that was through doc feeder if doing it from glass will have to hit # key to tell it that you are finish will scanning originals.

I can't remember.. but does this machine allow staple jobs if the media is being fed from the bypass tray?

I seem to remember that the sets have to come from tray 1-4

If Ricoh bypass stay true to what they did in past. Bypass not able to staple will grey out finisher staple feature
