[Error Code] HELP! A Question About SC672 on Ricoh 3350.

    Hello,
I am company technician in Japan. recently I mistakenly bought a second hand Ricoh imagio 3350 copy only machine with only 9000 on the counter.
In order to use this machine for normal print/fax/scan function. I have swap the main control board and the mother board[which has HDD on it] as well as the touch screen panel from another 3350 unit which has all the function to this unit.
It works for 2 day with some minor glitches[once it can not weak up from sleep], but all the functions works fine.
This morning it shows a SC672 code and it won't boot up from the initial screen.
    I have two questions:

    1. Does what I did [swap only the mother board and control board] is the right way to do it? Both machine seems to be exact the same but same module in the back panel are slight different.
    2. What shall I do with the SC672 code. Since I can not get in to the system, I can not reset the SC error from that screen.

I have attach the screen shot, Sorry it is in Japanese, basically it tells to remove the error you need to reset the power.

    Thank you for your Help!

Re: HELP! A Question About SC672 on Ricoh 3350.

Sounds like you have a "B" version machine and have been swapping over parts and circuitry from an "SP" version.
The B version came as a standalone copier with optional print/scan/fax features, whereas the SP version had them standard; However, it also only scanned in B&W, which means that the control board (and probably others) are different.ALSO...there's an mp2550 version of the same machine, which means there are 4 different control boards in total.
Compare the part numbers on boards.
Also. The original NVram from the controller boards must stay with the machine(s) they came from.

I think you're out of luck on this one

If it worked for two days then I would suggest you reseat all connections, you may have not put one back 100% in place.

              Thank you for the information.
I have compare most of the controller boards are the same, Expert one power supply.

As you can see from the photo. The center and the left sid board are identical. But the upper board and the power supply on the right upper corner are different in configration and size.
Also the communication link are slightly difference.
The copy only machine seens has more updated layout.

                Update: 2017-12-22
Once I re-insert the mother board, The machine boots up and works.
I am wondering If I move everything for the old machine to the copy only unit. it will work better than current configration.
PS: The copy only board are works 100% Ok on the multi function unit.
