Go into output mode and run some motors, that will help you narrow down the area the noise is coming from.Leave a comment:

Re: 301 high pitch squeek
If it only happens while the paper is actually feeding, it could be the paper tray separation pad.Leave a comment:

Re: 301 high pitch squeek
If you know its not the transfer roller its the front bushing on the registration roller. I have had that twice. it snaps in on the front side, not hard to take out. clean it up and your good. just did this about 2 weeks ago.Leave a comment:

Re: 301 high pitch squeek
Agree with Wild Bill. Have only ever had xfer or PCU squeak. What's the PM counter at? Those 301 PCU's are crap and don't last, switch it over with the 1515 PCU and you'll get your proper yield.
Also, not sure if these models have them, but in the older Savin 3515/816/920 there was a contact plate on the shaft of the feed clutch rear of machine, and PCU clutch shaft. sometimes those need cleaned and greased.Leave a comment:

Re: 301 high pitch squeek
If its the MP 301 then it's the transfer roller. A drop of oil in the plastic bushings on either side will cure it. If that doesn't fix the issue and it sounds like it's coming from deeper in the machine and you have toner dusting it's the PCU.Leave a comment:

Re: 301 high pitch squeek
Only things I have ever had squeak were the Transfer roller bushings and the PCU, i hope its not a clutch for your sake.
Good luckLeave a comment:

Re: 301 high pitch squeek
Reg roller bushings are the next cause, they respond well to a bit of light oil.Leave a comment:

301 high pitch squeek
Have a high pitch squeek only during paper feed, usually the Xf roller, but not this time, also tried feed roller /Sep and oiled every thing in sight.??Tags: None
