    Mpc3000 sc302

Called out to the machine for poor copies:

replaced the cyan and black drums (not the dev units).

called back out the following day for sc302

    AC charge output error [C]

Went back out and replaced the new cyan with the old one still next to the machine and the machine went back to the ready state. I couldn't reset the sc code with the new drum inside it.

Learned yesterday its back in again but another engineer is fitting the new drum as i havent been able to get the new drum from stores yet.

I pretty certain i may have to go back again next week for the same error code as fitting the new drum will be a temporary fix.

The new cyan drum i pulled out was covered in cyan, the transfere roller was covered in cyan and a big square cyan patch was on the transfere belt.

The charge roller is located under a panel on the bottom of the drum. If the drum gets handled the wrong way, the panel can get knocked out of position and mess up the charge roller positioning and cause that problem.
Don't take that toner with me!

Cheers for the reply but i'm a little confused the problem i had was lines on the bottom (cyan and black). I tried cleaning the charge rollers before on this range but stopped doing it as it didn't last long enough so i just replaced the 2 drums. The sc code never appeared before me(doctor death) replaced the drums. Now i put the old cyan which was working fine (bar the line) and it came back in again 24h later.

I'm going to go back next week to just check the smc as the engineer who fitted the new drums didn't answer his phone.

      This week i have had an mp6000 with sc955 (2 weeks old) and a mpc2500 with sc531

Well i'm glad its the weekend and im off to buy COD5

When this is fixed i'll post them - again cheers for the reply
