    MP5054 Printing

    Hi,

Got this problem on a MP5054, with counter 250K
Lot of runs is printing on this one, sometimes, and see the attachment it gives a bad print.
Text is hardly readable on some area's of the page.

Changed the compleet PCDU unit, was not an improvement.
checked the gears in the fuser, seems fine . . .
again, the symptom appears occasionally, it can run without any problem . . .?

In the attachment also an printout from SP2109-11
Thinking to replace the compleet fuser unit or perhaps the sleeve unit

    Anyone?
    Thanks in advance

looks more to be a dev unit. look in manual for repetitive defect ruler.. measure space from first mark to next.

too bad we don't have a better vetting process for newbies

or Admins that read private messages or REPORTS about user violations...
but this isn't a political issue so no biggie

Even if maintenance is done on dev unit, It can be clogged.

Changed one by SC code about rotation. But only throw SC code when It doesn't rotate at specified time. If it rotate but sometimes slower, it won't throw SC.

It appears that Aneurysm is working on it right now. He was logged in but has now logged out. The best way to report is mot to post to Site Feedback but instead to click on the black triangle with the ! mark above the reply button.

                Long edge? short edge print?

How old is that drum? Judging by the sky shot it looks well past its use-by date, the blurred patch looks like a 'damp patch' that Ricoh drums tend to suffer from when they get to the end of their life.
As Phil B says measure the distance between repeats of the mark and the service manual will tell where to look.
