Ricoh 2550B convert to scan in color

We have a client with a Ricoh 2550B who would like the color scan capability. I have plenty of scavenger 2550 print scan units.

Anybody know what boards would need swapped to convert to enable color scanning like a regular MP 2550.

    Much appreciated....

The controller board, scanner lamps, and optics are all different between the standard and base model, as well as firmware differences. You may be better served just replacing the machine than trying to convert it over.

It looks to me like controller, lamp stabilizer pcb, SIU, and SIO.

      You may be right,

      Thanks

Add in IPU and a number of harnesses plus a bracket or two here and there. There is also the time required.
