Re: mpc 4502 black color quality
I agree with that statement but for less than 50% of its life? No.My mind goes there difficult for Ricoh parts.99.999% cover their lifetime.I can accept 10 to 20 %Comment

Re: mpc 4502 black color quality
does the machine sit unused for a long time? ( staying ready wears down fuser & drums)
paper weight can make a BIG diff in life of parts
we all know cheap toner can destroy a unit.
and lastly.. are they gentle on the machine or rough?
yields aren't really something that can be depended to go full life... esp with all other factors involvedComment

Re: mpc 4502 black color quality
the total count may not tell the whole story - a lot of onesy twosy prints will lead to premature failure too because this adds way more revolutions to the sleeve than you would get if you were doing large jobs regularlyComment

Re: mpc 4502 black color quality
where the machine "works" makes a big deal..
I ve gotten machines wth little counts but had oxidation on most metal areas and others that were in warehouses where they looked like they came out of a coal mine..
A smokers environment too..
I have a log of accounts right at ground zero and those machines took a toll from all the crap in the air even after they had major clean ups..Comment

Re: mpc 4502 black color quality
If the meter is even close to 600K I would replace the Developer unit D144-3005 which only costs about $120. At least your issue is with the black------so the parts are super cheap.
They are using the good OEM Ricoh toner I assume?sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment

Re: mpc 4502 black color quality
Interesting that the CMY/colors didn't manifest the grainy copy quality symptom as profoundly as the black did, since they all pass thru the same fuser.sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment
