Have been into SP mode tried all paperfeed sensors all check out ok swapped a few around no joy all connections on board off/on ctrl out/in even nram off/on. With sensors disconnected same fault.....doin ma heed in.......obvs when device runs out of paper calls jam instead of tray empty message.

Normally a problem with the switch that detects the presence of the tray.

Ok no tray detection on this just size switches, anyway turned out to be bypass sensor flag just not sitting inside sensor this caused a short feed from the bypass roller and with no paper in bypass calls a jam, cannot see bypass roller from above device so put me off the track.

If it is Ricoh's standard 4 section size switch, one of those sections is the tray detection switch. I have replaced more of them for that section being bad than wrong size.

Cheers slimslob,, in this case it has 3 actuators or size detect sensors but not faulty in this situation thanks will log that though.
