Hello fellow techs. I've got an mp2510 that doesn't like doing 2 sided copies, more so with legal size paper, but also with letter, just not as often. The most recent jam code was j012. Jam locations showed 26 at the registration late and 78 at paper exit late. The paper is always in the interchange unit with about 3-4 inches sticking out of the top. It has completely exited the fuser and has print on both sides. I installed another interchange unit and it made no difference. Any ideas or suggestions would definitely be appreciated.

Re: Aficio mp2510 duplex paper jams
J012 is an exit sensor late jam. That means that the lead edge either did not reach the exit sensor or the sensor was slow in detecting the paper. Combined with the registration late jam count you could have a problem with the speed with which the paper is traveling through the duplex unit. Could be a motor, a bushing or a belt jumping teeth.Comment

Re: Aficio mp2510 duplex paper jams
oh, i had this so many tiems on this model!
Remove the paper tray, look in the cavity, at the right, rear side of the machine, there is a white coupling gear;
ist it broken? Look carrefully!!!!
Replace the tray springs at the rear side.
Than, there is the junction gate pawl, is it broken somewhere? Look carrefully!
Also i had jams becauese i used the fusing unit of another model!
Is it the original fusing unit?Comment

Re: Aficio mp2510 duplex paper jams
Only jams when making double sided copies, mainly legal size. Sometimes it might make 3 before jamming.Comment
