Spc431 fuser

Hi All
Does anyone know if a SPc431 fuser unit would work in a MPc300?
We're having an error of SC555. Thermistors have been replaced.
The price of the copier replacement unit is silly

The first thing I would do when replacing the thermistors does not correct a fusing error is to check the thermostats.

I saved this from a thread from several years ago and have done it a couple of times myself ( I wish I could give credit where the credit is due):
Fusing Unit: Two things are required:

• Change the side cover (one has ‘ribs’ the other is plain)
• Remove the large cover over the fuser connector. Unscrew the connector to free the harness and turn it over. The 9 pin connector on the printer version has 2 shorting loops, but on the mpc300 has 3 loops. Swap the connectors and away you go!

This. I do it all the time when I have to have a whole Fuser. Typically rebuild them but sometimes it's necessary to replace..

yes
i do it all the time.............
swap connector with 3 jumpers and plastic guide on the side...
I tried to gut a few connector to make jumpers but they are very small pins...
I have a bulk of spc430/c431/c440 [parts and they save me $$$$$
