hi i have problem with mp5002 copier its say reset tray 1,what is the problem plese help me

If it is SC501, it could be that customer has loaded to much paper in tray.
Remove the top of the paperstack, put machine off and back on.
Not solved? Remove tray 1, you see any paper there? Remove it.
Or else tray set sensor(s) could be broke.

If tray 1 on the machine is a tandem tray pull out both the left and right parts of the tray.
Now test the tray on the right, load just a few sheets and see if it works.
If that works load paper on the right tray to full capacity and test.
If it still works now test the left side.
There's a possibility that something is wrong with the left side trayComment

i know on mp2852 /53 there was a sensor that when tray was push in let it know tray was there. what would happen the sensor get push out of frame in back of copier so you have to pull back cover and find it and put it back in place. might look for something like that.Comment
