Scanning to Gmail requires you to change a setting in your google account to allow "Less secure app access". You can turn this on from Google Account.
Hope this helps.Leave a comment:

Re: Scan to Gmail - restricition age model?
What needs to be done depends on whether the particular model supports SSL or TSL and whether the model has a valid site certificate. Oldest models have no site certificate. A couple of models have a site certificate that has expired. Search 'gmail smtp port 25' and you should find a Google Support document giving the options available depending on whether the model support TLS, SSL or only port 25.
For information on adding/updating a site certificate see the attached Ricoh Knowledge Base document.

Re: Scan to Gmail - restricition age model?
If the device has the SSL option in the email settings then Gmail should work, older models without SSL in the email settings won't work. There was a brief period of time when you needed to manually install an SSL certificate to get scan to Gmail working. These were the ones where your only option was SSL on or off and there were no other settings related to encryption present in user tools.
I don't have exact cut in dates, but generally 02 series and up work, older no so much.
There is a non-SSL option with Gmail as well, but it will only send to a Gmail hosted email domain:
SMTP Server: aspmx.l.google.com
Port 25
SSL: Not Applicable
Authentication: RequiredLeave a comment:
