It is in the left front side of the machine. Open the front cover and remove a screw on the left side, this will allow the small cover below the front cover to be opened and behind it is the used toner bottle. It is the cover to the left of the 1st paper tray.

In that case, the only other thing I can suggest is to check the bottle set switch at the rear of the machine. I would use the input check (5803-3) and see if the signal is toggling. I have had any problems with the switch but I can see the actuator being knocked off if the bottle replacement was "rough"

There's a bulletin for this issue for the C3500. Apparently it's more common in cold conditions (which Wisconsin would definitely be), basically, the bottle contracts and doesn't allow for proper contact with the set switch. The solution is to install a spacer and a modified magnet to seal the door. Part numbers are B2236529 for the spacer and B3522650 for the magnet. Check TSB 013 for install instructions.

I've had a couple of these. Just glued a piece of foam inside the little door to push the bottle in. Problem solved.

              Regards
