[Error Code] MPC2500 with SC-551 code

Good evening fellow technicians. I just replaced a refurbished fuser assembly in a Ricoh Afico MP C2500 due to SC-551. The fuser had 325,910 impressions and the cleaning unit had 325,289. After replacing the fuser assembly, I reset the PM counters to 0, cleared the SC code and performed a hard reboot of the device. The customer performed a simple print job which it performed. We then did a print job of booklets and left. 6 hours later, SC-551 shows up again. I will obtain another fuser, but any advice would be deeply appreciated.

I'd check your thermostats first. Especially since you say it worked and only gave SC code after coming out of low power mode later. After a SC reset the rollers transfer heat between them on initial startup and don't give a code but with one of the lamps off it can't maintain temps in standby mode. Also check if your getting stable readings from your thermistors.

What do you mean by 'refurbished fuser assembly' ?

Your problem might be with the thermopile. The thermopile is not located in the fusing unit. See the service manual for the location of the thermopile and how to replace it.

that fuser for that model has to be rebuilt from zero, to be reliable.

            after cleaning the thermopile,
try to clean the connector pins well, both on the machine side and on the fuser side, I used a small cardboard file, the ones that women use for nails, several times I solved this.
