    MP C3002 Toner Cartridge Setting Error

    Hey Folks! Looked at this MP C3002 With " Toner Cartridge Setting Error/ BLK" and had no luck cleaning all contacts, tried new OEM toner.... Resets... Any ideas??? Thanks in advance! Laser801

      I will make a guess and say that the client used a compatible toner, and forget to remove a small rubber from the bottle, and its still inside the toner tunnel, if this the case you need to inspect the tunnel of the toner better, if its not that the case you propably have a problem with the RFID BOARD.

          RFID pwb probably damaged check pins are not bent if looks OK try replacing

              +1 on the RFID board.
              Had a C4502 a couple weeks ago that had the contacts for Cyan toner bent/ damaged......customer was using compatible toners, and had many calls for "toner not set". Usually was just able to grab another shitty toner and stick it in and problem solved, but this last time I discovered the damage to the pins, and replaced the board.

                  hi, it happened to me twice, with two different colors, this month, on an mpc4502, it was the defective / broken chip, we bought for 3 euro, some new chips, and I replaced them, the toners were full.

                  I suggest you activate the toner icon on the display in the sp5-xxx, at least it gives you an excellent indication
