    SC 285 RICOH IMC 6500

    Hello,

    I have a SC 285 on a Ricoh IMC 6500 (MUSIC ERROR).
It can be a lots of things. I already clean the ID/MUSIC sensor, Change the ID/MUSIC sensor, check the ITB and OK...
The process control is OK... tha calibration is OK, And every 2/3 days the error code reapears...
Anyone already have this problem ?
    I join the Manual...

    Thank you

Have you checked, upgraded the firmware?

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

What did you clean the sensor assembly with? The recommended methods are either a soft camera lens brush with air bulb or a soft clean cotton cloth slightly dampened with water only. anything else can either leave a film on the sensors or actually damage the sensors.

What sort of mileage does the ITB belt have on it?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.

you said you have checked everything, and firmware is up to date. you have the manual. why not start at step 3 replacing parts? i mean the part in step 3 is what the sensors point at.

Run the 2 dot test prints in service mode SP2. You con print out the color pages one at a time to see if one color is failing.
