    seen similar issue and new Op Panel was resolve? expensive though

    Thanks for your Reply... We have already put other units in their place... I have a gut feeling its the BICU ... Getting a high mileage low cost unit in early next week , which we'll have to work with. Those repairs on the control boards were almost a G ... I can get this other unit in for less than 5 Hun... Thanks again, Enjoy the weekend

    Have you tried accessing WIM to see if there is a service code?

    Could be the BICU.

    If you know the controller is good (Hytec "tested/repaired", and the HDD didn't solve it, and removing the fax module didn't work, then you can bet that it's either the IPU or the BICU.
    As stated above, it could also be a Memory DIMM, but I'm leaning towards one of the other boards I mentioned.

    Hate power outages/ surges. Had storms a couple weeks ago that wreaked all kinds of Havoc on some of our Ricoh machines, but came across two different HP's that got a surge, and melted the fuser rollers together, direct hit to the Power Supply! Even melted the Power strip that the printer was plugged in to!

    Yes! I unplugged HD and also Fax... The Red error light also comes on but I cant get into service mode or do anything...
    Both NVRAMS are new...

    Yes! I unplugged HD and also Fax... The Red error light also comes on but I cant get into service mode or do anything...
