it is almost certainly one of the development units.

I remember that the noise of that series of machines made me laugh so much... when it calibrated with its funny drums, you could hear DU-DU-DUM...DU-DU-DU-DUM... it sounded like a kind of washing machine...lol

If I remember correctly, an old Ricoh AC5206 had such problem sometimes even after developer replacement, it was called Firefly Spots, some developer particles were attracted by the drum and poor transfer round this particle caused white spot (in the middle is the developer particle). You schould print a full coverage magenta and a yellow page to see witch developer makes the problem. Than print some full coverage pages in this color to pull such bad charged particles out of the development unit, afterwards it may run with no spots.

Today I went to do the maintenance, but it appears my pcu kit has been used. An unsavory ebay seller. Ive found another set, this time pictured well, reputable seller. Just one more issue one has to deal with when using an old machine. I hope to replace the unit come spring.

Ive seen that on a brand new drum from a mp c 6003 machine. Think it's charge roller that causes it but i think it kills the drum when it does it.
