Hotmail is the same as Gmail in that it requires an App password to authenticate. I have a handful of customers using their Hotmail accounts for scanning, and the App password doesn't require regular updates as far as I know.
(This would have been helpful information for the poster to provide from the start)

ok, thank you all very much for your help, I have managed to get the Gmail accounts to work, but the Microsoft accounts are still not working for me, not creating passwords or checking the settings over and over again...
I also have to explain, which I haven't said before, that the client who uses the Microsoft account uses a free hotmail account... I realized now, I don't know if it has anything to do with it...👍 1Leave a comment:

I know how to configure it, I assure you that the XXX3 and XXX4 series machines that I have configured with Office365 have stopped working, and I have read a technical note from Microsoft where it explains that as of October 1, the password generation system stops working For non-secure devices, Oauth2 would have to be enabled on the machines for scanning to be possible, and for example, on a client's Mpc3503, I have not been able to do it, on series 4 I have not found this option either. On more modern machines I have been able to do it, even on series 4, through the scan to cloud service app I have been able to scan with Office365 accounts. And with respect to Gmail accounts, I'm not so sure, what I do know is that there is also a technical note explaining something similar to Microsoft's about the expiration of the system for generating passwords for devices, I don't know if it will go by region. , or that I have been wrong about something... I will continue investigating...Leave a comment:

Both Google and Microsoft have help documents for setting up scanning to their email. Just use your browser and search MFP scan to gmail and MFP scan to Office 365.Leave a comment:

Well it worked on the new account I set up yesterday.
And I should add it continues to work on the probably more than a hundred clients I have using Gmail

I've had mixed results with Office 365. I literally have 2 identical machines sitting side by side in an office, and one of them scans via Office 365 without issue, the other one doesn't and I've used a workaround.
As for Gmail.....it's not necessarily new, but scanning WILL ONLY WORK when 2FA is enabled, and an APP PASSWORD created and used in the machine in the Password section rather then the password,, otherwise it won't authenticate.
NOTE: Remove the spaces in the App Password when entering it in the WIM.
In fact, it has been working for me with my Google account until a few days agoLeave a comment:

Scan to email
Good morning, for a few days now, I have several machines that have stopped scanning to email, the email delivery accounts that are configured are office365 and gmail, I know that they have increased the security in this type of accounts and have disabled sending from third party devices, is there a way to solve it? the machines with series 3 and 4 with the latest updated firmware, thanks
