Re: Unable to get in SP mode to clear part counter
Thanks Mika....
I'm mostly just regurgitating stuff I've read and learned here from others along the way.
I can't remember for sure who the first person was that suggested that in a thread to someone else, but I'm pretty sure it was a long time friend / member who's no longer in the Biz, named Jason (Zed255).

Re: Unable to get in SP mode to clear part counter
You can't be that "new" to Ricoh if you bought it new. It's a few years old afterall
I'm assuming that you're using the updated SP mode procedure (806182)?
SP mode access can be changed in SP mode, and if it has by some anal retentive tech, the only way I'm aware of to recover it, is with a new NVram.
Even Factory SP mode does not provide the mode to change it back.
I have heard of several instances where it has been changed to an iteration of the old SP mode, but since it must be 6 numbers they have used 107107.
It's worth a tryLeave a comment:

Hello Tech team, thank you very much for helping on this issue, Sandmanmac, you are correct, somehow someone changed the access code to the SP to 107107, I was able to get in and clear the counter, my machine is working again.Leave a comment:

Re: Unable to get in SP mode to clear part counter
Are you having trouble getting into SP mode or clearing the counters once you are in SP mode.
To enter SP mode:- Press and release the Clear Mode button
- Enter the correct six digit sequence
- Press and hold the Stop button
There is also the possibility that someone has turned off service access in User Tools.
If you can get into SP but cannot clear the PM counters it might be that the right end jam access door needs to be open when power is turned on. At least that was how it was with a couple of previous models.Leave a comment:

Re: Unable to get in SP mode to clear part counter
Hello group,
I have an issue with one of my Ricoh Pro 8200s not allowing me to get in SP mode to clear a part counter, I did replaced the control panel and it didn't fix the issue.
I bought this machine brand new and it right now has 700k on the meter.
Have anyone seeing this? I am new in the Ricoh world, my big experience is in Canon Products and HP.
If anyone has any information regarding this issue will be much appreciate
