Ricoh IMC 2500 toner build up at ITB

Toner was building up at the ITB cleaning unit so I replaced the cleaning unit at 220,000 total prints.
Went back today for a jamming problem and noticed buildup again at the cleaning unit approximately 3,000 pages later.

did you check the waste transport on the front of the ITB for a blockage? i had one user break the left lock lever which opens and closes the shutters on the transport coil. the lever would move but not turn the shaft to open the shutters on the transport coil.

Thanks, I think you might be onto something, that left lever will spin in a full circle.

I noticed too, actually, this time Ricoh did a bit of a shit job with all those rickety plastic levers

You can take that shutter off so it will stay open all the time & won't block up again. Or replace the complete ITB unit.
