I've recently obtained pro8120s with Fiery and encountered some firmware issues. For some reason, it has incomplete firmware comparing to my old pro8100(no printer, scanner apps etc.). I have tried to write romdata files on SD card and install, but this way you can only reinstall apps you already have. Also I attempted install using Ricoh Firmware Update Tool, but on 8120 it fails to connect, throwing "Rescue state. Please contact service" error. But on 8100 RFUT works fine.
AFAIK there is another firmware update procedure with "package" files. Will it work?
