hostname like RNP5838794BDxxx changing to f.i. the name of enterprise

    Is this possible?
I have tried this on our imc2000, but it says: "wrong parameter".
A customer asked if it was possible to change this number to the name of his enterprise.
So his customers would see the name of his enterprise in the sended scan.

I'm quite shure you can edit the entire subject line for scan to mail function, perhaps you can also edit the file name parameters somewhere.

        This is indeed another option.

Even when we increase the hostname number with 1, so xx62 -> xx63
          "Wrong parameter"
          I think it is impossible.

It just uses whatever is configured as the hostname of the machine. Keep in mind you have a 15 character limit with only letters and digits available.

You could also have them use an email address that is part of their actual organisation so that whatever visible name is configured on their mail server will show as the sender.
