Re: toner shield glass - dirty even after cleaning with bleu (or grey) tool
Nothing new to mee - these tools do just a "basic" job, especially on older MFPs - dirt can produce some sort of coating over time, even on internal optical components, that's why at some point it won't hurt to give the laser unit a proper treatment. Lazy folks spill a little amount of glass cleaner on the cleaning pad before using it but since you can't really wipe it dry there's probably good change that dirt does stick to the glass sooner as before.....

It has happened to me in a machine of this model I had to disassemble the laser unit and clean the anti-dust inside.Leave a comment:

Re: toner shield glass - dirty even after cleaning with bleu (or grey) tool
Today i have noticed that even after replacing the black pcdu, white stripes still where visible.
I had cleaned all optics before, included toner shield glass with the tool...
But still I noticed toner waste on the shield glass afterwards.
Cleaning the shield glass with the bleu tool wasn't enough in this case (mpc2003); even after using a brand new one, the toner did not went away.
For your info...
almost certainly it will be too old a development group, check behind, where there is the compass and the seiger, you will have filled the rear ground coverLeave a comment:

Re: toner shield glass - dirty even after cleaning with bleu (or grey) tool
I'm not particularly familiar with that particular Ricoh ... but I can tell you that sometimes you do have to reach in there with a towel and alcohol to clean those laser slit glasses. And in dirty environments the inside of the laser slit glass can get dirty.
The wand is fine if it's just a little toner dust, but that's not always the case. =^..^=Leave a comment:
