Try updating the firmware via SD card this is quicker & more reliable.

It is recommended to update the firmware with the SD card for this machine, you need to download the new firmware version
on a Secure Digital (SD) card. The SD card is inserted into the SD card slot 2 on the rear left side of the
      controller box.
If the ROM update does not complete successfully for any reason, then in order to ensure the correct
operation of the machine, the ROM update error will continue to show until the ROM is updated
      successfully.
In this case, insert the card again and switch on the machine to continue the firmware download
automatically from the card without the menu display.

Not shure if this will work if an update via different method failed and needs to be resumed but it's worty a try. One might better use the modules instead of package then. First of all I'd try the key combo Yellow-1-4-3-c-c-c (or 5x c) if you can access the ten key pad - that might remove the "incomplete update flag" and allowing the machine to boot normally and acceppt an SD card update.

Make sure firmware file extension is .fwu, or get a trained tech to do it. Surely you have the machine on a service contract.

Okay, let's start from the beginning. Do you have the GW Wifi option or are you just using the panel Wifi? Be aware the panel Wifi only allows you to print, no scanning or @remote.

Second, when the machine is powered on as suggested previously press Yellow - 1 4 3 - C x 5. The machine should beep and then after a reboot should boot normally.

When it does, put the *.pkg file in a folder called "romdata" on the root of a FAT32 formatted SD card, placed in slot 2 on the side of the machine. This should allow the machine to install the package.

Bear in mind not all firmware files are included in the package, i.e. Powersave, this causes SC992 on the 307 so it would be an idea to download the rest.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

              Hit it.

                  This is incorrect.

You need to put the .pkg file in a folder called 'package'
