    Gmail Scanning 2352

Anyone know if you can scan using smtp.gmail.com port 587 to a 2352? I see that 'Allow Less Secure Apps' is no longer an option in Google Security settings.

Here is thew latest from Google Support. You will notice that you need to sign to your Google Admin Console. This means the administrator for the company's Google Work Space Account, formerly Google Doc account.

You have to turn on 2 factor than setup an apps password

Are you suggesting that Google Support does not know what they are talking about when it comes to gmail?

Tim, I have to concur with bsm2.
2FA must be enabled and an App password created is the only way I know of to authenticate with an MFP since "Less secure Apps" was removed.
Same applies to Yahoo as one other example.

In setting up Google relay service, one of the authentication options is IP address. This would be the Public address of the customer's internet modem. One thing, this does not apply to free gmail accounts and there are limits on how many emails can be sent a day.

Thanks! So I just generate an app password and use that to authenticate on the copier side? Still using same smtp.gmail.com and tls?
