Re: IM C8000
Was the jam you needed to remove caused by some type of power failure? That could cause the engine to halt immediately with the some component not in its home position.Leave a comment:

Re: IM C8000
Yes there is a "failsafe procedure" if the locking machanism refuses to open / I saw it years ago with a Pro Cxxx and it's probably explained in the SM / I can't recall the exact steps anymore.Leave a comment:

Re: IM C8000
Like Slimslob said, but could start with the obvious that i bet is far too easy to miss if new to these machines, if it is the same as Pro C5200 you have to open the lower left door where the waste unit is located, there is a button there that needs to be pressed to be able to open the front drawer.Leave a comment:

Re: IM C8000
The only front door is the one you open for changing toner. To access the paper path you have to pull OUT the drawer. If the drawer unit will not pull out you may have a failure in the drawer unit lock, often caused by turning off while in cycle, drawer unit lock is there to prevent opening the drawer while paper is running through it. Procedure is fully covered in the service manual.Leave a comment:
