Ricoh FT3813 how to Reset compensations

Hi, I'm just about to refurb the drum unit - new drum, dev and blade and clean the optics.
A video said that I should then "reset the compensations and the auto exposure"
I've no idea how to do that, any chance someone could tell me how to do it and any other control panel actions to do after the general overhaul.
    MANY thanks in anticipation -
    Don

Turn on dip switch 2 on the main board to get into service

SP66 to reset the drum counter
    SP54 and adjust VSG to 4.0 V (VR 102)
    SP65 to initialize the developer

SP95 (reset VL correction for the lamp)
    SP48 (lamp adjust for CQ)
    SP56 (Auto ID adjust VR 101 2.5 v)

    Goodluck

      Klydon, THANKS for responding -

WOW ! - I dont even know where the mainboard is, but expect I will find it when I get on site..... None of the parts that I have been working on showed any 'main board' near it, I expect I've got to split the copier down further....?

So if I find and flick DIP 2 , then do I look on the Control panel for
Service mode, and if so what does SP mean.

Do I need to set all these settings just coz I did a basic cleanup and drum change...?

      thanks
      Don

Take the top upper back cover off and the "main board" is on the left as you look from the back of the machine to the front.

        SP = service program

You will get a blinking 5 in the numerical display after flicking switch 2 on the dipswitch stack.

Enter in the SP number and hit the "auto image density" button as your "enter" key. The numeric display will go solid with the number you put in.

I believe the value of the setting (like SP 48 for the lamp for instance) will be shown in the magnification display. To enter a new value, just enter the value you want and hit the auto image density key again to make it take your value.

You cleaned the optics, changed the developer and drum, so those are the settings you need to do in order for the machine to reset itself after you are done.

The machine will likely run without you doing those, but copy quality will likely be light to start with as a guess and you won't get the yield you expect from the other items.

        Hope this helps.

              Klydon, (and Jomama and Copydec)
thanks again for your kind efforts to help an amateur...( I gotta start somewhere !) I am much more confident now, I will have a good 'go' at getting this mother back on track next week and as the Mayor of California
              says 'I'll be back'...if I have any update/query.
Thanks for helping to make this a cool website-
