IMC3500. screen remote

Hi,

Customer has 4 x IMC3000's, their ICT department regularly takes over the screen at remote.
It works on 3 machines, one however gives an error 5000 (?)

someone familiair with this error code?

From what he told me I did understand that is was coming from his PC
But as I said, the other IMC's worked allright . . .

The 5000 error is a generic internal error code. Unfortunately, it could mean one of many things. Could be a problem at the C3500 such as a jam of some type or a Service Code. It could have something to do with the settings of that machine or there may have been someone using it in such a way as to temporarily block remote screen access.

Do all machines have the same SOP firmware version?

The SOP Firmware is called M2a_System at the Diagnostic Report 5-990-005.

yeah ricoh is bad about that. saying it can't do one thing, because something else is still in the process of doing whatever. it is annoying.

What is infuriating is standing in front of the machine working on a major project and have asshole take over control remotely.

Update the firmware on the device not working / check they are on the same version.

We occasionally run into this, sometimes simply restarting the Ricoh will resolve the issue.
