SC665-08: comunication error from IOB signal.

it could be the PSU that is not powering the IOB board well, look on the attached PtoP for the power connector between the PSU and the IOB and check that there is 5v, not less! if there are, it could be the IOB.
the strange thing about the Japanese, it seems like a nv-ram problem, did you happen to reverse them? or do you touch? However, you can also use just the right one.

      Thanks for the info Luca
When i swapped the whole Controller, BICU Cage i left the NV Rams in it so i know they are good (from a working machine)
i tested it with all units out and options unplugged just in case something was pulling power down
      even tried different screen incase
i will get the multi meter out and start hunting voltages

        Voltage at IOB's seem ok
So decided to try all boards 1 by 1 in working machine
all ok put controller BICU cage in was able to update firmware get into service and change language all ok
so put all boards back into original machine and fault returns

so removed output connectors from Imaging IOB and machine seems to have make a try at starting up
just working thru connectors suspect short in wiring or component on output from Imaging IOB

could be...well, at this step, I would try as much as possible to disconnect all the user loads, motors, etc. from the IOB, and see if the sc changes, and then reconnect them one at a time, perhaps better to do it from the final part of the load connectors... follow the PtoP

Turned out to be the bypass pickup solenoid pulling down voltage
strange how it made the language into Japanese once solenoid was disconnected machine loaded ok and in English
part replace now all up and working

            Thanks for all the help

Wow that was a good find. I would never have guessed that in a million years.

this is "solenoid week", a few days ago, another one also solved a problem caused by these

I was lucky to have it in a workshop with a spare machine to allow me to test the boards in
once i knew they where good it had to be a something within the machine removing connectors 1 by 1 from the IOB helped narrow it down to the back door
the loom splits into 2 connectors from there it was easy to find it
thanks to luca72 for the wiring diagram
