Ricoh IM C4500 paper out alert for printing

Is there a setting to alert when the drawer(s) run out of paper while printing, either the annoying beep sound or a pop up message on the computer screen? It does it for copying but I can't find a way to have it alert while printing. I've turned all sound settings on in user tools, checked driver settings, scanned through user manuals, etc, etc.

I assume it's an option but can't find it anywhere. thanks

Yes, in screen device settings you can set a sound for when paper runs out.

Change it from the default beep then the user can distinguish before the other beeps etc.

In screen features/sound, I've turned on all sound settings (notification sound, operation completed, sound of urgent/less urgent level, etc.). In screen features/screen device settings, I don't see any options for that...what am I missing? thanks

That's correct & when you change it setting it should make the sound of that feature etc.

Less urgent is out of paper I believe.

Did you also turn up the volume ?

That was it, the volume was off...duh!! I didn't even notice that option, it's above all the other options that I was focusing on. When the volume is off, it still beeps when paper runs out while doing a copy job, but it does not beep when it runs out when doing a print job...not sure why that is but whatever.

Thanks much for pointing that out...it was driving me crazy.
