Manny thanks to all of you guys.... Yap is the florescent lamp above the copier cause the problem...I always do the sky shot after replaced the drum...
Hehe crap I was far of the mark on this one, sorry dude.
Meh I would of spotted it if I was in front of the MFD LOL.
I used that same image on a new tech to see if he could figure it out. Didn't much like the guy, never did show him what I did to 'fix' it.
You sound like my kind of people! Nothing is more fun than driving a cocky technician crazy with head games. And I admit, I have done it more than once or twice.
Take that bow KopyKat. I used that same image on a new tech to see if he could figure it out. Didn't much like the guy, never did show him what I did to 'fix' it.
This may sound too simple....Are you saying that this ONLY shows up on sky shots? Or does it show up with the cover down and large solids? The reason I ask this is that you say it does not show on text. I have seen this Exact pattern on sky shots when there is a florescent lamp above the copier. I may be just talking out of my butt again.

Yeah that does totally look like a neon room illumination above the copier. Switch out all lights and run a test copy with cover open again...
i guess the machine has a strong fluorecent lamp on top of it, or the light is directly on the optics so every scanning it absorb the light.... try to move the machine.

its show if photocopy a dark background and cover is down. I try to print from computer with a large solid its fine. So now i will focus to the optic section.Still doing the troubleshooting.....
Text copy can't see the white line, only if my client photocopy the dark background.that is sky shoot.

Generate the internal test pattern with dark black bands (can't remember the name of it) and see if the problem is still there. At least that will isolate the optics. Also make sure the white plate is clean on the scanner.

As that pattern on your sample print is definely a dead ringer for the surface of the dev roller.
That what i think also....But after i installed the different PDCU still the same.its possible LD unit can cause this problem???? I will try to replace the LD unit and i let you know.

I can't think of any other roller that would produce / leave a mark such as that one.
