GelSprinter Aficio GX 3000 Print Quality Issue

    hello everybody out there!

the problem i m posting is related to Ricoh geljet series printer, the print quality issue. for the print quality its bad even when newly installed, the nozzle check is never ok or even if gets ok the print is still having lines on it. head cleaning n flushing is only a temporary solution to this. i went thru adjustments of paper feed n head alignment n tried updating the firmware but still its not good.

anybody with sum good idea, else than setting it to fire...

setting it in flames is a good beginning

Ricoh has a excange program for this beasts, they take the defctive one and give you a refurbished maschine, at least in europe.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

Constant nozzle clogging is normally down to the maintenance unit wiper blade and the two scraper cleaning arms being full of sticky ink/gel (whatever you want to call it).

It's easy enough to take the side panel off, lower the suction cups and remove the cleaning unit.
But beware it can be a messy job so I recommend wearing some latex gloves and putting polythene down in area you going to work in.

There is also a slightly improved / modded maintenance unit (J0150411).
