Lanier LD232C Tray 1 Jam

Hi we have a Lanier LD232C copier, everytime when it is printing from Tray 1, it will give out a paper jam error when it is not yet even picking up paper from tray 1.

now we bypassed tray 1 for temperary use, Any thoughts to fix the problem?

Could also be the paper feed clutch. Ricoh clutches aren't the best ones.
